inky impressions design team

hey everyone!  i was asked to be apart of the inky impressions design team!  i'm so excited about this opportunity! :)  my term starts in september, and the new designers were given a digital stamp to make something with, and this is what i came up with! :)

ack! i just love this card! :)  it's so sweet!  for the card base i used a chipboard album base that i got from micheals, and the bottom is a scalloped circle card that i also got from micheals.   and i used a little slip of paper to make it into an easel card.

here's just the top.  for the background paper i used my minds eye, 6 x 6 dwell collection.  it's a very fun girly bubble-gummy kind of theme.

here is the bottom half.  the yellow base is from the same paper collection.  the sentiment "believe" came from a k & company die cut pack from hobby lobby, i used puffy dots on the back of the sentiment to hold up the card.  the flowers are from i am roses, and the brown diecut is from martha stewart.

i colored the digital image with my tim holtz distress markers.  i have a problem coloring digital images with my copics since i have a laser printer that uses toner.  the toner tends to flake off, but if i print it on watercolor paper and watercolor it i dont have that problem. yay! :)  if you like this image you can get it at inky impressions, i hope you check them out! :)

here's a close up of the corners, i used i am roses cherry bosssoms and tangerine roses, chartreuse crystal sprays from hobby lobby,  flat backed rhinestones for bling, and an acetate swirly sheet from k and company.

i hope you enjoy this project and check out inky impressions too.  im very exciteed to be apart of their design team and can't wait to show you what else they have to offer!

i am  entering this card into the following challenges:

country tilda

hello everyone! ive made a new tilda card for the just magnolia challenge the theme is country.  i really like this theme being from the midwest, i really love country style which is how i decided to interpret this theme.  im also entering it into the tilda's town challenge the them is choose your own technique i chose distressing.  im also in creative inspirations with a tremendously beautiful color scheme of peach and blues.

so this is thee card i came up with i hope you like it! :)

i used a large scalloped circle that i crackeld, and inked the edges.  i added a doily over it.  the background blue lace paper is a antique table linen that i got at a thrift store, and made a photo copy of it with some plain blue fabric behind the lace to make the lace pattern stand out more.  the ribbon is some quilting fabric that i ripped, and lightly tea dyed, and added an antique button on top.  i made the wire hearts out of floral wire and painted them white.

here's a close up of the pretty flowers these are from i am roses.  you can see the floral wire hearts better too.  i also added some tea colored crystal flat backs for shine.

here's tilda.  im getting use to thee tim holtz distress markers.  they're  a lot of fun to use :)

thanks for stopping by! i hope you like this tilda as much as i do! :)

christmas in july

hey everyone mo manning is still holding their new design team challenge this weeks theme is : in the dog house.  which means it need to have a dog or it needs to have something to do with being in trouble lol.  cute :)  this is what i came up with for this challenge....

he's such a cute little puppy! :)  im going to give this card to my parents, they had a little black lab just like this one.  green and red are my favorite christmas colors, and i love the vintage feel of this card.  i collect 1950's vintage stationary and i wanted this to seem like one of them :)

i got these cute chipboard elements from glitter dust studios off of etsy and i painted them white and dunked them into some glittering snow effects crystals that i got from hobby lobby.

i got this big giant metal flower at a flea market.  it was broken,  but it came with more metal flowers, in a big sack for a dollar lol.

here's the top swirl, there's more metal flowers, glass busttons, and a stick pin.

and here's a close up of that cute puppy!  i embossed his background with and embossing folder called candy cane, added some vintage trims behind him, and used puffy foams to mount him.

i hope you enjoy this card and that it puts you in the Christmas spirit! :)

whimsy stamps and crafty ribbons challenge

today ive finsihed a card that i really like! ( i say that about every card though :)

im entering this one into two challenges
the whimsy stamps challenge - punches and edgers  and
the crafty ribbons challenge - the beach! :)

here's what i came up with

it's so cute! i love the big bow it give it kind of a cuties vintage pin-up feel! :)

i got a giant spool of this really wide vintage trim in three different colors same style, that's what i used for the bow.  i used one of my edger punches under the bow to create a cue lace ripple effect that i thought kinda looked like water.

i really like this idea.  the stamp had tons of bubbles in it, and i wanted to reflect more of an underwater look in the sentiment.

and here's just a nice close up of the little mermaid lady.  she's so cute!!!!!

thanks for stopping by i hope that you enjoyed this carrd!!

TOMIC & tildas town blog challenge

hello everyone1 this card i made is for the tomic blog challenge.  the theme is red, green and white, christmas in july.  and these just happen to be my favorite colors for christmas! :)
i'm  also entering it in the tilda's town blog challenge their theme is anything goes. :)

this is what i came up with.  it's got tons of trim! makes it look like a giant present! :)

here's the corner it's got vintage trims, paper stars and nice vintage themed iamroses flowers
i used buttons from my button collection and a clear acetate on the top and bottom to give it a more flushed out present look.

here's a close up of tilda.  i put her on an old vintage gift tag.  this wreath is one of my favorite vintage finds for christmas :)

i hope you like this card as much as i do! :) thanks for stopping by! :)

just magnolia mania

hello everyone!  ive made a card for the magnolia mania challenge the theme is Prince and Princess  so cute! :) and in the just magnolia challenge 166- Let’s make a birthday card!
and the tilda's town anything goes challenge

i really love the fairy tale tilda collection and i haven't really got to use them very much, so i was really excited about getting to color some of these princess stamps :).

here's what i came up with...

i love the way this came out.  i used papers that i got from michelles in the "impulse" section they had a bunch of blue and white mini paper packs for 50 cents each, so i got all of them.  lol.  i also used a wooden frame from there that i painted blue and crackled.
here's a close up of the bunting.  it's some lace that i made into triangles and added buttons, and silk ribbon in the eyelets.

i made this little crown out of some multi size pearls that i had, and added crystals to the points to make it more princess-y.

here's the other corner that i added i am roses to. and some pearl swirls.

here's a close up of tilda and i added some vellum behind the horse to soften the frame and make thee image stand out more from the frame.

i hope you ladies like this card! thanks for stopping by! :)

simply and midweek magnolia challenges

hey there!  ive made a cute little card here and i want to share it with you :)  ive made this card for the simply magnolia challenge and their theme was embossing with wet or dry techniques ( i did both)  and the other one is the midweek magnolia challenge and their theme was elegance.  here's what i came up with useing both themes.

i love the way this card turned out!  i really challenged myself to use only scraps of paper to make this card.  even the card base is a scrap of cardstock.

here's a close up of cute little tilda.  the heart frame around the side is wet embosses with white and inked pink.  the background is dry embossed with daises.

here's a close up of the corner with the roses.  you can tell better that i patchworked the scraps of paper in the background.  i  wanted to reflect tilda's patchwork wrapping job on her heart present. :)

well that's it for me today! :) i love this card and i hope you do too :)
